"Jessie, when are you going to go get your husband?"

- Cora talking to our good friend and former nanny (who is single) before dinner a few nights ago.

Daddy - "Cora, you need to get back in bed."

Cora - "Will you carry me to bed?"

Daddy - "I can't carry you to bed, I'm busy. Now go back to bed."

Cora - "Well daddy, you can just carry me to bed and then get back to your busyness!"

"We ate and went outside and stared at eachother."

- Cora's response to my question about what she did with the babysitter today.

"Do you have any kids I can babysit?"

-Cora's question to daddy after dinner.

"The B-L-E-O-P. Yes, that's the word for me. I stand again in the Word of God. The B-L-E-O-P. Bible!"

- Cora singing a song she learned at church.

"Mommy, I smell like I need chips."

-Cora trying to convince me that I should give her chips before breakfast

"Did you know that crocodiles turn into butterflies?!?"

-Cora talking to her Papa Tiemeier

"One, two, three....and then spanking."

-Cora teaching Disa how to count.

Cora: "Daddy, I think about you while you are at work."

Daddy: " What do you think about me?:

Cora: "Roses and butterflies and beers."

"I love my new shoes! They make me think of meatballs."

- Cora after seeing the new shoes I bought to go with one of her dresses.

" Maybe he can paint your fingernails!"

~ Cora's response when I let her know that we would be seeing Uncle JJ in a few days.

"When ants are sick, pigs say poop."

~Random statement by Cora while waiting for her afternoon snack.

"Mommy look! They're getting their freeze off!"

- Cora commenting on the frozen bananas thawing on the kitchen counter.

"84 pounds!"

~ Cora as she measured the bathroom doorway with a tape measure.

"Because I wanted my hair to be like daddy's!"

- Cora's answer when asked why she cut her hair with her scissors.

"Disa, don't scream! Screaming is for horses!"

-Cora talking to Disa in her bedroom after she was screaming about something. I think Cora is a bit confused about the phrase we use with her...."Hey (hay) is for horses."

"Lasterday"

- The term Cora uses to refer to anything that happened in the past.

Jessie - "What happened?"

Cora - " Well, Disa jumped of the bed."

Jessie - "Hmmm"

Cora - "Or maybe I kicked her in the teeth."

- Cora after being asked why Disa was crying

Cora - "I'm looking for my (shoe) size."

Mommy - "Do you know what size you are?"

Cora - "I'm princess size!"

- While shopping at Marshalls

Cora: "Mommy, I want to watch Barney."

Mommy: "Cora, I don't like Barney."

Cora: "Well then you can just cover your eyes!"

Cora: " Mommy, does water have protein?"

Mommy: "No Cora, it doesn't."

Cora: "Well then I can't have any water."

- Cora could probably eat carbohydrates 24/7. Thus many times we tell her she needs to have something with protein in it before she can have more of whatever carb it is she wants. Obviously the message is starting to sink in.

"Chai, bye and die all rhyme!"

- Cora's random statement as we were getting ready for dinner

"My Nook Gase eats bathroom doors. Yours eats lemon meringue pie."

- Cora's random statement to Jessie after breakfast

Cora - "I'm like a boy."
Mommy - "Why are you like a boy?"
Cora - "Because I'm wearing silly shoes."

- While playing outside the other day.

Cora (in the bathroom): "Mommy, I need you."
Mommy (in the kitchen): "What do you need me for Cora?"
Cora (in the bathroom): "I need you for a conversation!"

" I like tv. I need a tv in my room."

- Cora after she got out of bed to tell me something and found me in my bedroom watching tv. (To which I replied "You have to be an adult to have a tv in your room.")

"Cheese rhymes with Jesus!"

- Cora while eating cheese on her egg breakfast sandwich

"Check in your room and her room and by the tv and in the bathroom and in the washing machine."

- Cora telling Jessie where to look in the basement for Valarie

"Look! It's like noodles!"

- Cora commenting on my wet hair after I let her comb it.

"Well, I didn't know where my camera was, so I came in your room to look for it. It wasn't in there so I just slept in your bed."

- Cora's answer when asked why she came and slept in mommy and daddy's bed in the middle of the night.

"QUACK, QUACK!"

- Cora's response when the girl next to her at the zoo said "What do zebra's say?"

"To get more energy."

- Cora's response to the question "Why were you jumping on the bed?"

"Does yogurt make you go pee or does it make you go poop?"

- Cora while eating yogurt before bed the other night. Just trying to figure out digestion.

"Can we pause the prayer please?"

- Cora to Jessie during their morning prayer time when she needed to use the bathroom.

"Does Jesus walk or drive?"

After telling her at bedtime that Jesus is always around and Cora commenting that she didn't see His car.
